Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is an alternative modality that focuses on improving the physiological function as a primary method of improving the health of patients with chronic disease.

Therapeusis defines this approach as “personalized medicine” that deals with primary prevention and underlying causes, using your signs and symptoms, to ameliorate chronic conditions.

Functional medicine practitioners provide chronic care management with the belief that:

“Diet, nutrition, and exposure to environmental toxins play central roles in functional medicine because they may predispose to illness, provoke symptoms, and modulate the activity of biochemical mediators through a complex and diverse set of mechanisms.”

The Therapeusis program identifies 33 organ systems as a functional assessment based on the results that you enter through our questionnaires. The program will generate 3 areas of concern for the condition(s):

1. Immediate Concerns [Herbs-Vitamins-Minerals]

This is the organ system that is of immediate concern, contributing to your sign and symptoms. Conditions should improve with herbal tea(s), dietary reform, and correcting vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

2. Core Cause [Eclectic Remedy]

This is the organ system that must be dealt with in order to fully remedy the condition(s) and prevent a return of your symptoms. Homeopathic polycrests are known to be most suitable.

3. Anchor Initiators [Subconscious - Emotional]

The anchor point is where you arrived in early life that set the patterns and staging of the adult onset of symptoms. Memories, habits and life style adaptations have weighed in as “viewpoints” or aberrated thinking patterns resulting in unresolved conflicts, avoidance factors, and deep emotional issues. Anchor points are best treated spiritually with methods like counseling, hypnosis, PCT (photocognitive therapy), etc.

When your results are received, simply click on the organ link and retrieve a full explanation page of the gland/organ, diet and lifestyle changes that will improve the condition(s).

Ultimate iPhone Research App – Wolfram Alpha is a post from: Stuffworks.com

Since it went on sale, I have been using Wolfram Alpha for a couple of days and I have to say it is an awesome research app. It has been one of the App Store’s most notoriously expensive apps and it just got a price cut. Wolfram Alpha, which debuted last October for the fairly jaw-dropping price of $49.99, now sells for just $1.99 .

In case the name doesn’t ring a bell, Wolfram Alpha made headlines last year as a supposed Google killer, a search engine that could perform “computational knowledge” tricks far beyond any other service.

In other words, as CNET’s Rafe Needleman put it, “Google finds links. Wolfram Alpha finds answers.” My own take: It’s a search engine for math geeks.

In any case, there was widespread glee when Wolfram Alpha got the app treatment–followed by considerable head-scratching and some outright rage over its price. The $50 sticker seemed particularly insulting considering that you could enjoy much of the same functionality in your iPhone’s Safari browser–for free.

According to a Wolfram Alpha blog post, the price cut is part of a “new focus on ubiquity” for the tool. And in an extremely wise marketing move, anyone who purchased the Wolfram Alpha app for $49.99 (or its one-time sale price of $19.99) can request a refund.

What do you think? Is the app suddenly looking a lot more attractive at $1.99? OK, that’s a given, but now that it’s reasonably priced, think you’ll buy it? Hit the comments and share your thoughts.

Scientists are becoming increasingly concerned about the possible impact of cell phone usage on children, because their skull is thinner and their brain is still developing, compared to adults. It’s not until around age 20 that a child’s brain is fully developed.

Even as an adult who values optimal health, you should consider steps to protect yourself from the potentially damaging effects of EMF radiation from your cell phone.

When you use a cell phone, radiation energy is emitted from the antenna and absorbed by your brain. Have you noticed how hot your phone feels after a 20-minute call? Just how much energy is being released? Take our Quick 1 minute quiz to find out!

let me give you the quiz answers right now: 1.C 2.A 3.C 4.C 5.A

5 Ways to Help You Minimize the Affects of Cell Phone Radiation

Here are some sound solutions that can help minimize the affects from the EMR your phone emits:

Use your cell phone on speakerphone. While this is a great solution and I strongly recommend it, it’s simply not practical much of the time. Especially if you are in a public place where rules of discretion and proper etiquette prevail. Another problem is that not all cell phones have speakerphones — and even those that do may have poor sound quality. I do recommend that if you are choosing a new cell phone, make sure it comes with a speakerphone option.

Keep your phone as far away from your body as possible. There’s a dramatic drop-off in radiation exposure for every inch you keep your phone away from your body.

Get yourself a Cell Phone EMF ADF Filter. In my opinion, the ADF filter by Quantum Nutrition and Research is the best EMF Filter on the market. It does not reduce the EMF or EMR radiation that the phone produces, only filters it to reduce its biological affects. Purchase an ADF Filter Here…

Limit your cell phone use to the bare minimum. Your cell phone is constantly searching for signals and emitting EMR while you’re using it.

Turn off your cell phone when not needed OR keep it a few feet away from your body. Even when not in use, as long as your phone is turned on, it continually emits EMR as it connects to its base station.

Bluetooth wireless headsets are even worse than regular ones. Why? Because the wire is replaced with a transmitter and receiver operating with low power at frequency levels between 900 MHz to 2.4 GHz.

The maximum frequencies for wireless products compliant with Bluetooth specifications are 2.497 GHz. The frequency power of wireless headsets rivals that of microwave ovens, which also operate at 2.4 GHz.

And, while in a few cases emission may be lessened by the use of a cell phone headset or earpiece, it may not reduce radiation enough. This means that even a product that offers up to 70 percent reduction in EMR is not nearly as effective as it seems. Purchase an ADF Filter for your Cell Phone Here…
